Every now and then I’ll write a post about how lucky I am to live and work in the Wiltshire countryside.
This is one of those posts: in the little gap in between Christmas and New Year I got up early and took my camera to capture the frosty fields of Hilperton illuminated by the morning sun.
I love how even desiccated nettles and dead goose grass take on an air of enchantment when dusted with frost and given the right lighting. We can forget that they're weeds and celebrate all their wonderful textures. I might have got a few odd looks from the local dog walkers whilst I was crouching down to get the right angle through the nettle bed. But as they say, it take all sorts!
