At the moment I'm putting a lot of work into the behind-the-scenes side of the business.
The way I work has changed quite dramatically since I first started out, my current work aligns more closely with my personal passions, and I feel more proud of what I have achieved over the last few months than I have in a long time. What I struggle with though, is really communicating what I do to the right people. I'm not very good at the marketing, and tend to feel a bit overwhelmed by all the available channels and how they fit together. I'm taking a tech course at the moment to try and get all that figured out, but the big eureka moment came when I realised that the best social media strategy in the world is nothing without a clear idea of what my brand is and (quite specifically!) who it's for.
So alongside the geeky stuff, I've been starting to put some serious thought into my branding. It was something I wanted to do anyway, further down the line, but has rather elbowed it's way to the top of the list! I wanted to share with you my starting point - at the moment it's just a Pinterest board trying to capture a feeling about where my little brand might be heading. It could be quite a journey, but if you fancy it, I'd love you to come along for the ride.
