Spring editorial shoot: behind the scenes

You know how it is when you’ve been secretly working away at something: plotting, planning, dreaming, and when it finally happens you can’t quite believe it’s real.  This was one of those days.

In the middle of May, just a few days before the Royal wedding ( I still maintain they took inspiration from Sarah’s gorgeous flowery hedgerow… ) Clare Lloyd and I finally pulled off our first bridal shoot together.  These are a few of my behind the scenes pictures from the day; as we're hoping to get it published, it’ll be a while before I can share the whole shoot.

Over recent months Clare and I have become partners in crime. It’s almost a year since we started talking about an idea for an editorial shoot: pretty, ethereal and all in shades of white.  As the idea grew, it became clear what we wanted to do was create something subtle yet sublimely beautiful; elegant and filled with quietly exquisite details; pulling together the combined talents of a team of true craftspeople.  The planning process had a few stressful moments (like when we found ourselves without a model 2 weeks before the shoot. Eek!), but I absolutely loved seeing it all come together and we really couldn’t have asked for a better team.
